THE BULLET
CATCH
Act description: | Safety measures |
|
The
Bullet Catch is a classic presentation of an age-old
event. Since the seventeenth century, entertainers and stunt
performers have been attempting this death-defying feat; it
has been rumored that 12 people have died since the recording
of these attempts. This show is not performed
lightly. This show can be performed as Renaissance, Western,
Black-Tie, or almost any costume appearance.

Lauren Muney and Jim Frank perform the Catch.
|
-
In full view of the audience, Lauren loads an authentic black-powder weapon
- Jim invites a gentleman from the audience to inscribe on a lead ball, which is then
loaded into the gun, and all precautionary measures are taken
- Jim takes his place on the far edge of the stage, and raises a ceramic plate between
himself and the gun
- After priming the gun and taking careful aim, Lauren fires the gun
- BAM! The gun fires, the plate breaks, and we see who is left standing
Every movement is designed for
safety and for the audience's excitement.
This show has been performed for 8 full years without accident. |
